ATLANTA (March 25, 2013) – The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today the 2013 WBCA Division II Coaches’ All-America Team. The 10-member team was selected by a vote of the selection committee. The committee is composed of one representative from each of the eight geographical regions and a chairperson.
Ashland University senior forward Kari Daugherty (Fresno, Ohio/River View/Dayton) was named to the WBCA All-America First-Team, whilethe University of Findlay senior guard Kayla Brown (Mt. Blanchard/Riverdale), Ferris State University junior guard Sarah DeShone (Elkhart, Ind./Jimtown), Ashland University senior forward Daiva Gerbec (Dublin, Ohio/Bishop Watterson) and Michigan Technological University senior guard Samantha Hoyt (Arkansaw, Wis./Durand) were named to the Honorable Mention team.
The members of the 2013 WBCA Division II Coaches’ All-America Team are as follows:
