BAY CITY, Mich. - Wayne State University senior forward Talisha Bridges (Kalamazoo, Mich./Loy Norrix) and the University of Findlay senior forward Kayla Brown (Mt. Blanchard, Ohio) have been chosen as the GLIAC Women's Basketball North and South Division "Players of the Week", respectively.

GLIAC North Division Player of the Week:

Wayne State University senior Talisha Bridges came up with two big games this week to help the Warriors clinch the GLIAC North Division Title. In a one point loss to Walsh on Wednesday, Bridges had a 22 point, 15-rebound and six-assist performance. When the Warriors needed a win the most however on Saturday at Lake Superior State it again was Bridges leading the team in scoring with 21 points. Bridges finishes the GLIAC regular season with a 16.1 ppg and 7.7 rpg average as Wayne State grabs the 3rd seed in the Conference Tournament.

GLIAC South Division Player of the Week:

Kayla Brown
University of Findlay

Mt. Blanchard, Ohio

Univeristy of Findlay senior forward Kayla Brown led the Oilers to a 73-61 win over Hillsdale on March 2 in Croy Gymnasium. Brown put up a career-high 35 points in the win, the third highest single game scoring mark in the history of the Oilers program.  She finished the game by hitting 12-of-18 shot attempts and also chipped in three rebounds and three steals.  Brown is averaging 18.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.7 assists per game for the Oilers this season.  She is also shooting 51.9 percent from the floor.
