Ashland Sets NCAA Division II All-Time Record; Wins 58th Consecutive Game

GLIAC -- The No. 1-ranked Ashland University women's basketball team (21-0 overall, 13-0 GLIAC) set a new all-time NCAA Division II record for consecutive wins regardless of gender. The Eagles earned their 58th straight victory on Thursday night with a 101-84 win on the road at Wayne State. 

The defending national champions are clicking on all cylinders with the No. 1 scoring offense in the country averaging 102.0 points per contest. Heading into February, AU leads Division II in several categories: field-goal percentage (51.5), assists per game (24.6), free-throw percentage (83.7), scoring margin (39.7), steals per game (18.1) and turnover margin (14.35).
