Three #GLIACWBB Programs Highly Ranked in First Region Rankings

NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Region Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS -- Three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's basketball teams appeared in the first NCAA Division II Midwest Region Rankings of 2018 released on Wednesday (Feb. 14).

The undefeated Ashland Eagles are the lone unbeaten team in the country and are rolling at 24-0 atop the region. Michigan Tech checks in at No. 4, while Grand Valley State is positioned No. 5 in the initial rankings.

The Midwest Region includes schools from the GLIAC, the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). The GLVC holds three regional ranking positions with the G-MAC landing four positions.

The 2018 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament Selection Show will take place on Sunday, March 4th at 10 PM on NCAA.com. The Top 8 in each region will qualify for the postseason championships.
