GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced weekly awards following the third week of the 2019-20 season. Ferris State senior guard Riley Blair was named GLIAC Women's Basketball North Division Player of the Week, while Davenport sophomore guard Toni Grace captured South Division honors.
NORTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Riley Blair - Ferris State
Ferris State University senior forward Riley Blair had a big week for the Bulldogs as they won a pair of regional contests at FSU's Jim Wink Arena. Blair averaged 22 points and five rebounds while shooting 51.6% from the floor in the two victories over Ursuline and Southern Indiana. She totaled 17 points with four rebounds along with an assist and a steal in Thursday's 93-66 win over the Arrows before coming back with a game-high 27 points, six boards, an assist and a block in Saturday's 86-75 triumph over USI, which had beat the nation's 11th-ranked team in its season opener. Blair also went 12-of-18 (66.7%) at the line in the two games.
