INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA Division II Women's Golf Committee has selected the teams and individuals that will compete in the 2016 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) qualified four teams and one individual for the super regional event at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield, Illinois.

Grand Valley State earned the top seed in the region after a 35-stroke triumph to capture its ninth consecutive GLIAC Women's Golf Championship over the weekend in Allendale. The Findlay Oilers finished third in the East Region after a runner-up finish at the conference meet followed by the Ashland Eagles who ranked No. 6 regionally. The final team to qualify for the super regionals is Northwood who was positioned eighth after a fourth-place showing at GLIACs. Additionally, Ohio Dominican's Jamie Ellison was the lone GLIAC individual to qualify for the super regionals. Ellison finished 11th at last week's conference championship hosted at Grand Valley State.

The NCAA Division II women's golf super regional competition will be conducted May 2-4. Each super regional will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently with twelve teams and six individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site. All participants will compete throughout the 54 holes of competition. The top three teams along with the top three individuals not with a team from each super regional will advance to the championships.
