BAY CITY, Mich. -- Grand Valley State senior golfer Gabrielle Shipley has been named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Golf Athlete of the Week after she earned medalist honors at the Findlay-hosted Bing Beall Fall Classic.

Highlights: Shipley, the reigning GLIAC Women's Golf Player of the Year, recorded rounds of three-over par 75 followed up by a two-over par round of 74 at the par 72 Findlay Country Club. Shipley earned medalist honors and a three-stroke victory over Findlay's Kasey Petty as the Lakers took home the 2015 Bing-Beall Classic title by 11 strokes over the host Oilers.
