NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -
For the first time in program history, the Davenport women's lacrosse team has been recognized by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for a weekly award. Tuesday afternoon, freshman midfielder, Anna Glynn followed up her GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor with an IWLCA National Offensive Player of the Week nod, the first ever for the Panthers.

Saturday in the 15-13 loss at No. 8 Grand Valley State, Glynn turned in arguably the most complete performance of her career with seven goals (career high), three assists (tied career high), four draw controls, two ground balls, and one caused turnover while all seven of her shot attempts were on goal. Not only were those seven goals a personal best for Glynn, but they're the most by a Grand Valley State opposing player since March 10, 2018.

"Anna came into that game with a load of confidence as she knew she was ready to shine," said head coach, Rob Harris. "She knew the team didn't need her to play as well as she did, but she made every shot and feed worth it during that game. I was proud to see how fast she adjusted to when GVSU started to double her early in the second half so she found wide open teammates for the goals. She has worked so hard for this, but she isn't even remotely close to peaking."

Next up on the schedule, Davenport will continue GLIAC play with a trip to Concordia-St. Paul for matches on Friday (8 p.m. ET) and Sunday (12 p.m. ET). The Golden Bears will enter those matchups with an overall record of 3-5 including a 2-4 mark in conference action.
