Allendale, Mich. -- The NCAA announced that seventh-ranked Grand Valley State has been selected as the No. 2 seed in NCAA DII Midwest Regional semifinals. The Lakers will travel to Indianapolis to face the undefeated No. 3 seed Regis University on Friday, May 13, at the University of Indianapolis. First draw is set for 3:00 p.m.

The 18-1 Lakers are coming off of their GLIAC Tournament Championship title as they prepare for 17-0 Regis. This is the second NCAA tournament appearance in the history of the program, with the last appearance in 2016.

The Lakers are currently riding a record-breaking 16 game winning streak. Their lone loss during the regular season came at the hands of UIndy on March 4, a 14-8 setback. GVSU could meet the Greyhounds again in the NCAA Regional finals, should it advance past Regis.
