Houghton, Mich. – The Michigan Tech women’s soccer team has helped local schools participate in March is Reading Month by returning to their roots and reading to classes of elementary-aged students from Houghton and Chassell. The experience has given the athletes an opportunity to influence future potential Huskies off the field.
PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Lake Erie College Director of Athletics Griz Zimmermann announced today (Jan. 21) that Jamie Shadd has been named the new head women’s soccer coach at the school. Shadd, a Cleveland native who played collegiately at Gannon University, was most recently an assistant at Millersville University.

To be eligible for all-academic status, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0-3.49 a 4.0 scale, and must not be a freshman or first year transfer.

The Lakers recorded their 19th shutout with the win, which ties a school record and the tough GVSU defense played its entire home schedule without giving up a goal.
