• MTU Women's Soccer Team Participates in Reading Month Festivities in Local Community

    Houghton, Mich. – The Michigan Tech women’s soccer team has helped local schools participate in March is Reading Month by returning to their roots and reading to classes of elementary-aged students from Houghton and Chassell. The experience has given the athletes an opportunity to influence future potential Huskies off the field.

Shadd, a Cleveland native who played collegiately at Gannon University, was most recently an assistant at Millersville University.

    Bay City, Mich.--The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced today the Fall 2010 All-Academic Teams. 469 student-athletes from thirteen institutions were honored in the following sports; men and women's cross country, football, men and women's soccer, women's tennis and volleyball. To be eligible for all-academic status, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0-3.49 a 4.0 scale, and must not be a freshman or first year transfer.
