Four Teams Ranked in Latest NSCAA National Poll

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Four Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s and women’s soccer teams combined appeared in the 2014 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) regular season poll released on October 28.

Grand Valley State women’s soccer team ranks No. 10 with an overall record of 13-2-1 while the Saginaw Valley women’s team jumped from No. 21 to No. 19 this week after going 1-0-1 over the weekend.

On the men’s side, Tiffin, who was previously unranked, came in at No. 12. The Dragons suffered a 1-0 loss to the Timberwolves on Friday, but bounced back to defeat Saginaw Valley 2-1. SVSU also jumped in the polls, going from No. 20 to No. 18.

Four women's teams made the top-10 in the region with GVSU leading the charge, sitting at No. 2. SVSU is ranked third while Michigan Tech comes in at No. 6 and Ohio Dominican seventh.

Three GLIAC men's teams are ranked in the region with SVSU ranked No. 2, followed by Northwood (4th), and Tiffin (5th).
