PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Brittany Lavenant - Ferris State
Ferris State University's Brittany Lavenant helped lead the Bulldogs to back-to-back home wins to start conference play unbeaten this past weekend in Big Rapids. She also notched a pair of wins on Sunday as Ferris State beat Northwood for the first time since 2004, snapping NU's 22-match series' winning streak. In Sunday's victory, she teamed up with Verebes to post FSU's lone doubles win and then came back to win in three sets at four singles as the Bulldogs rallied by taking the bottom four flights to earn the win.
