Carey Cavanaugh Named Assistant Volleyball Coach at Ashland UniversityApril 14, 2011ASHLAND, Ohio - Ashland University announced today that Carey Cavanaugh has been hired as an assistant women’s volleyball coach. Cavanaugh comes to Ashland from Oberlin College, where she served as the head volleyball coach since 2005. She guided Oberlin to a 15-win season, the best victory total in school history. Over her last four years at Oberlin, the volleyball team broke 11 school records and recorded its highest finish ever in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) play.

GLIAC Announces Fall 2010 All-Academic Excellence TeamsJanuary 12, 2011Bay City, Mich.--The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced today the Fall 2010 All- Academic Excellence Teams. 365 student-athletes from thirteen institutions were honored in the following sports; men and women's cross country, football, men and women's soccer, women's tennis and volleyball. To be eligible for all-academic excellence status, the student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50-4.0 a 4.0 scale, and must not be a freshman or first year transfer.
