LEXINGTON, Ky. – Grand Valley State’s women’s volleyball team dropped to No. 17 while Ferris State dropped to No. 22 in this week’s American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) top-25 poll.
Ferris State handed Grand Valley State its first GLIAC loss of the season on Tuesday (Oct. 28) in a five-set thriller in Big Rapids. Both teams went on to sweep both Northwood and Lake Superior State in weekend action.
Both teams are 15-1 in conference play with one weekend of action remaining. The Lakers are 19-4 on the year while the Bulldogs have compliled an 18-5 mark.
In the region, Grand Valley is ranked second while Ferris State is fourth. Findlay rounds out the top-10 with an overall record of 19-6.
