BAY CITY, Mich. -- The evening after Ferris State upended Grand Valley State in the 2014 GLIAC Volleyball Tournament Championship match, the Co-GLIAC Regular Season Champions both learned their seeding for the 2014 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Tournament.
Ferris State will be the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Division II Midwest Region and square off with No. 7 Lewis in the first round on Thursday (Nov. 20). Grand Valley State landed at No. 3 and will take on No. 6 Missouri S&T, who defeated the Lakers at the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover one month ago. Grand Valley State will also host the Midwest Region and there is potential for a possible second round matchup between FSU and GVSU in Allendale.
Gaining the top seed in the region is Truman who will battle No. 8 seeded McKendree, who received its first tournament bid in school history. Rockhurst and Indianapolis occupy the 4-5 matchup as the Great Lakes Valley Conference amassed six teams in the regional.
