AUSTIN, Texas – Eight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) cross country and track and field student-athletes earned 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-America® Division II recognition on Wednesday (June 24), as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Grand Valley State junior cross country runner Jessica Janecke was named 2014 USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Scholar Athlete of the Year, given to the top individual male and female finishers at the NCAA Championships who earned at least a cumulative grade point average of 3.25. Criteria states the student-athlete must be an active member on the roster at the end of the season, not a freshman or a first year transfer student. All-Academic Teams are comprised of those student-athletes that meet criteria and carry a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0-3.49. Academic Excellence Teams are comprised of student athletes that have a cumulative GPA of 3.50-4.0.
