GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its weekly awards following Week 4 of the 2022 cross country season. Wayne State redshirt sophomore Tyler Buchanan was named GLIAC Men's Athlete of the Week while Wayne State sophomore Reagan Justice received GLIAC Women's Athlete of the Week honors.

MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Tyler Buchanan, Wayne State

Tyler Buchanan (Fenton, Mich./Linden) earned his first career GLIAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week award after helping the Warriors to a second-place finish at the Lock Haven Invitational this past Saturday. The Warriors trailed only Division I Cornell. As an individual, Buchanan placed second in the race in a time of 24:15.5, trailing the first-place runner (24:15.10) by just 0.4 seconds. The sophomore has logged back-to-back top-two finishes to start this season.

WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Reagan Justice, Wayne State

Reagan Justice (Canton, Mich./Salem) has been selected GLIAC Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time in her career after guiding the Warriors to a second-place finish at the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 24). The Green and Gold finished behind Division I Cornell. Justice has posted back-to-back top-two finishes after crossing the finish line in second place this past weekend with a time of 21:20.0. This effort comes fresh off the heels of a dominant showing at the Northwood Invitational earlier this month, where Justice topped the field by more than 25 seconds.
