#7 GLIAC SOUTH
TIFFIN DRAGONS (7-19 ALL, 4-18 GLIAC)

2014-15 Tiffin Preview (by Brian Lester, GLIAC contributor)

Coach: Pam Oswald is entering her 8th season as the head coach of the Dragons

Overview: It was a tough year for the Dragons, who closed with seven consecutive losses. But things should change for the better with several key players back, including sophomore center Bre Nauman, who averaged 9.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Nauman will give the Dragons a strong presence in the post. The Dragons will also be able to count on junior guard Jordan Fraley and sophomore guards Kaylee Patton and Deidre McKay. Fraley and Patton averaged 7.6 and 7.5 ppg, respectively, while McKay put up 6.5 ppg. Patton was one of the team’s top 3-point threats, hitting 26 shots from the outside last year, while Fraley and McKay nailed 11 treys apiece. For TU to take a step forward, it will need to find success on the road. The Dragons were 2-11 away from home last season.

Noteworthy: Fraley led the team in steals last season as she tallied 21 a year ago for a team that allowed 68.5 points per outing.

Tiffin Sports Information Preview

Tiffin University's Women’s Basketball team looks to bounce back strong in the 2014-15 campaign as Coach Pam Oswald’s young team builds off the experience gained last season. Coach Oswald enters her eighth season as Head Coach of the Dragons. In the paint the Dragons will need to build depth. Sophomore post player Bre Nauman (9.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg) leads the Dragons inside. Outside, Tiffin will return more depth. Sophomore guard Deidre McKay (6.5 ppg, 71 assists), sophomore Kaylee Patton (7.5 ppg), and junior Jordan Fraley (7.6 ppg, 2.9 rpg) provide the fire power from beyond the paint for the Dragons.

Coach Oswald also brought in some new faces to Tiffin that will have to contribute. Three freshmen will be counted on to provide much needed depth for the Dragons - Kiley May, Shelby Cheston, and Kelsi Ash. Junior Hannah Stephenson transferred in and will look to break into the guard rotation. Tiffin opens the season November 20 at home vs. Cedarville University.
