Tech falls to Augustana in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. - Leon Sell and Eli Pinnoo collected wins in singles but the Huskies fell 4-2 to Augustana (S.D.) Monday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis at USTA National Campus.

Vitor Jordao also made his return to the lineup and won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles with Nikolai Prosjanykov. The Huskies fell to 0-5 while the Vikings improved to 4-4.

"Matches were tight today for both teams," said head coach Kristin D'Agostini-Yep. "They fought hard and I was happy Leon and Eli were able to win in singles against good competition. Today's result came down to the last couple of matches."

The Huskies continue their spring break Florida trip with a match against Florida Southern on Tuesday, March 7 at 12 p.m. at Wynee Warden Tennis Center.
