Ferris State Drops League Road Contest At LSSU

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball team fell to host Lake Superior State University by a 87-74 count on Saturday (Feb. 10) evening at Bud Cooper Gymnasium in Sault Ste. Marie.

In the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) encounter, FSU fell behind 52-39 at halftime and the Lakers managed to increase the lead to as many as 17 points in the opening 10 minutes of the second half.

The Bulldogs cut the lead to nine with 7:53 to go in the game, but could get no closer down the stretch.

Senior Ben Davidson paced FSU with 20 points while Deng Reng added 11 points and Amari Lee scored 10 points in his return to the floor.

The Lakers were led by Tyson Edmondson's game-high 25 points.

The Bulldogs will return to Jim Wink Arena to host Saginaw Valley State in GLIAC play on Thursday (Feb. 15) starting at 7:30 p.m. (ET).
