Bulldog Volleyball Gets Back On Track With Hard-Fought Road Win At Purdue Northwest

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's volleyball squad, which is ranked 19th nationally, got back on track with a hard-fought 3-2 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) road win at Purdue Northwest on Saturday (Nov. 4) in Hammond, Ind.

The Bulldogs won the opening two sets by scores of 25-20 and 25-18, respectively, before the Pride rallied to win set three 25-22 and set four 25-21. In the deciding fifth and final set, the Bulldogs prevailed by a 17-15 score.

Junior Olivia Henneman-Dallape again led FSU with a team-high 20 kills in the victory while Claire Nowicki tallied 17 kills and Syann Fairfield finished with 11 kills. The Bulldogs hit .309 overall as a team, totaling 66 kills and only 16 attack errors on 162 attempts.

Bulldog setter Kaylee Maat had a strong performance with 46 assists to go with a team-leading 22 digs. She also added a squad-best five service aces.

FSU's Leah Bylut added 13 digs and Emma Bleecher finished with 10 digs. Overall, FSU had 73 digs to go with 14 service aces, four solo blocks and four block assists.

Purdue Northwest was led by Arra Cottrell's team-high 14 kills. Anika Huelskamp added 12 kills and Alyson Dees finished with 11 kills. Livia Thomsen netted 18 digs and Marina Gronkiewicz had 28 assists.

PNW compiled 60 kills and 18 attack errors on 168 tries, hitting .250 for the day. The Pride also finished with 73 digs to go with 13 service aces, four block assists and three solo blocks.

The Bulldogs will return home to the Bulldog Arena for their final two regular-season matches of the year, hosting Michigan Tech on Friday (Nov. 10) at 4 p.m. (ET) before entertaining Northern Michigan on Saturday (Nov. 11) at 5 p.m. (ET).
