Dragons win fifth straight with 15-11 victory

Tiffin University continued their recent hot streak, winning their fifth straight game to improve to 6-3 with a 15-11 road win at Roberts Wesleyan.

TU struggled to start the game, falling behind 5-1 in the first 5:30. But the Dragons quickly regrouped, stealing all the momentum and exploding on a 11-2 run that catapulted them to a big 12-7 halftime lead.

Roberts Wesleyan tried to rally early in the second half, scoring two quick goals to narrow the lead to just 12-10. But, again, TU rallied, getting goals from Elle Hamilton and Amanda Flotteron to push their lead back to 14-10. From that point, TU's defense clamped down and didn't allow another goal until just before time expired.

Overall TU held a big 37-27 shot advantage and dominated the draws 20-7. RWC won the ground ball battle 21-14, but the Dragons' defense more than compensated, with Kat Schneeberger getting the win in goal and making 8 saves.

Flotteron had a big game, scoring 6 goals and an assist, while Tori Nelson also had 4 goals with 7 draws. Morgan Sherley had 2 goals and 4 assists, while Hamilton had 2 goals and an assist. Elle MacMillan scored a goal, and Gina Abulone had an assist.
