The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team lost 19-9 to 9th-ranked Mercyhurst University on March 8 in Erie, Pa. The loss gives the Oilers a 0-4 record on the season.
The Oilers fell behind by a score of 14-4 in the first half and then played even in the second period. They were led by junior Sarah Lankton, who scored three goals. She also tallied an assist, four draw controls and three ground balls.
Freshman Michelle Lortie registered two goals and an assist as well.
The Oilers will have their first home game of the season on March 17 against Urbana. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in Donnell Stadium.
