BAY CITY, Mich. - Ashland lost in the first round of the playoffs for the second consecutive season. Losing to a GLVC team again, Lewis won the contest, 2-1, in overtime.

SPRINGFIELD, MO – In a contest that appeared would be a victory for the Eagles, the Lewis Flyers came back and won on a golden goal in the 93rd minute. The goal sent Lewis to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Senior Nestor Hernandez scored the game-winning goal after the Eagles’ defense fell apart to leave the net wide open.

BAY CITY, Mich. - For the second consecutive season, the Ashland University men’s soccer team will be included in the NCAA Division II playoffs. The NCAA announced the 2009 playoff field on Monday night (Nov. 9). The Eagles and head coach John Hall are the second seed in the region and will travel to Drury University in Springfield, MO, for the four-team tournament.
