The Dragons will have to regroup quickly, taking on Ashland on Tuesday.

The Dragons entered Allendale looking to finish their road trip on a high note, but the Grand Valley State Lakers soured their hopes, dropping Tiffin in straight sets.

In the 1st set, GVSU rowed ahead of Tiffin on a 10-3 run. The Dragons never recovered from the early onslaught and fell 25-18. Tiffin hit at only a .098 clip and committed six attack errors.

The 2nd set wasn't much better as the Lakers jumped out to a 9-3 lead. The set continued to get away from Tiffin as the Lakers bumped their lead to 20-10. The Dragons dropped the set 25-14, and headed to the 3rd set down 2-0.

The final set was Tiffin's best, but it just wasn't enough. Tiffin committed only four errors and hit at a .229 clip. It was more about what the Lakers did as opposed to what Tiffin didn't. The Lakers logged 16 kills and hit at .270 mark on their way to a slim 25-21 third set win.

For Tiffin Grace Schreiber led Tiffin with seven kills, hitting at a .400 mark. Danielle Hicks chipped in with six kills and Jenna Huffman added five kills. Emily Weithman collected 24 assists, giving her 2,479 for her career.

Tiffin will be back in action on Tuesday, traveling to Ashland to tangle with the Eagles.
