Visiting Lakers Outlast Cardinals in Four Sets

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich.— Madison Thompson and Rylee Zimmer racked up 22 and 16 kills, respectively, for the Saginaw Valley State University volleyball team on Saturday, but it wasn't enough as the Cardinals suffered a 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19 setback to visiting Lake Superior State University at Hamilton Gymnasium.

The Cardinals fall to 10-14 on the season, including a 5-8 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Lake Superior rises to 4-20 overall and 3-10 in the conference.
