WEEK 11 PREVIEW: SVSU closes regular season vs. Huskies on Senior Day

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University football team closes the regular season against Michigan Tech at 1 pm on Saturday at Wickes Stadium. The game will be Senior Day for SVSU and Military Appreciation Day.

This weekend's matchup with the Huskies is the second of the season for the Cardinals. SVSU won the early-season, non-conference contest 35-13 in Houghton. The Cardinals are 7-3 overall and 2-3 in the GLIAC.

SVSU won its final road game of the regular season last week at Northern Michigan 30-21. Jarius Grissom led the offense with 93 yards rushing and 78 passing while accounting for a pair of touchdowns.

Michigan Tech enters today's game after a nonconference win over Hillsdale College last week on the road. The Huskies are 4-6 overall and 2-3 in the GLIAC. The winner of the game today will finish in fourth place in the GLIAC standings this season.

Prior to this weekend's game against Michigan Tech, the Cardinals win honor 19 student-athletes on Senior Day. The honorees include Duke Angers, JaJuan Blankenship, Richard Bowens III, Andrew Brito, Jacob Chambers (Coach), Jacob Dorn, D'Mitri George, Connor Luksic, Isaiah Malcome, Jame Miceli, Cameron Mitchell, Trevor Nowaske, Chase Sager, Andrew Schroeder, Noah Suber, Nathan Talakai, Jayson Tunstall, Nick Whiteside, and Casey Williams.
