SAGINAW, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University women’s tennis team fell Friday (Oct. 16) to Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) rivals Grand Valley State University, 8-1.

Saginaw Valley’s Yunjiao Shangguan would score the Cardinals only point in the match defeating Grand Valley’s Tara Hayes 6-4, 7-6, and 10-6 respectively.

With the loss the Cards fall to 1-8 on the season and 1-8 in the GLIAC while Grand Valley improves to 5-2 overall and 5-2 in GLIAC play.
