A Second-Team All-American in 2015-16, senior forward Kyle Cooper enjoyed one of the best seasons in the 100-plus year history of Charger men’s basketball. He was named GLIAC Player of the Year after averaging 22 points and 9 rebounds per game, while shooting 56 percent from the floor, 44 percent from 3-point land and 87 percent from the free throw line. He had two games of 40 or more points and six games of 30 or more points. He’s been named First-Team All-GLIAC twice and in 2015-16, was the GLIAC North Division Player of the Week five times.

Off the court, Cooper had the second-highest overall grade point average of any Hillsdale College student athlete while majoring in accounting. He was named the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-American of the Year for men’s basketball and earned Academic All-American accolades twice. He was a three-time member of the GLIAC Academic Excellence Team and was a two-time recipient of the President’s Scholar Athlete Award.
