COLUMBUS, Ohio – As part of an initiative by the GLIAC and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, Ohio Dominican's men's and women's basketball teams will raise money for breast cancer research during the Saturday, Feb. 12 home games in Alumni Hall against Findlay.

All money raised at the gate will go to breast cancer research, and the teams will be selling t-shirts and long sleeve shirts for $10, with those proceeds also going to support breast cancer research. Additionally, the teams will wear pink shoe laces and pink warm up tops and warm up with a pink basketball.

The coaching staffs will be dressed in pink, and pink ribbons will also be passed out.

"The GLIAC's 'Pink Wave' effort is a great event to help fight breast cancer," said Nathan Bellman, head women's basketball coach. "Most of us know at least one if not several people that are fighting breast cancer. This event will help raise the awareness of breast cancer and money for breast cancer research."

"We're looking forward to participating in this event and helping however we can," added Artie Taylor, head men's basketball coach. "It's for a great cause and we are expecting to have a great turnout for the games."

The men's game will tip at 1 p.m., to be followed at approximately 3 p.m. by the women's game.
