Tournament
Format
The GLIAC Men’s Tennis Championship will be an eight-team,
three-round tournament.
The first round of the tournament will start at 7:00 p.m. on
Friday (April 15), with warm-up on courts beginning at 6:00
p.m.
The second round of the tournament will be played at 4:00 p.m. on
Saturday (April 16), with warm-up on courts beginning at 3:00
p.m.
The final round of the tournament will start at 9:00 a.m. on
Sunday (April 17), with warm-up on courts beginning 8:00 a.m.
Tournament Draw
The top eight teams based on regular season conference winning percentage will compete in the tournament. 1 vs. 8 and 4 vs. 5 in top of draw. 3 vs. 6 and 2 vs. 7 on bottom of draw.

Match 1: #1 Northwood 5, vs. #8 Tiffin 0
Match 2: #4 Ferris State 5, vs. #5 Michigan Tech 2

Match 4: #2 Wayne State 5, vs. #7 Lake Superior State 0

Athletic Training Staff
Andy Cripe (cripe@northwood.com) 989-837-4387, from Northwood
will serve as our Certified Athletic Trainer and will be available
90 minutes before each match and at MCTC throughout the
tournament.
Modalities will not be available. Ice will be
available. Coaches should bring enough athletic tape as necessary
to tape their own student-athletes throughout the tournament.
Awards
Ceremony
There will be a short awards ceremony at the MCTC following the
completion of the last match on Sunday.
GLIAC Championship and GLIAC Tournament trophies will be awarded,
and the 2011 All-GLIAC Men’s Tennis Teams will be
announced.
Tournament Tennis Balls
The GLIAC Office will be providing four cases of Wilson U.S. Open
tennis balls.
