The 2020-21 sports season was like no other.
With the help of extremely dedicated league members, the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference held championships in almost all of our sponsored sports. As fall sport championships were moved to the spring, our league pulled off 15 championships in 15 weeks. I'd like to recognize and thank the GLIAC staff members, Cam Trudell, Marcus Thatcher and Linda Bouvet, for their tireless work throughout this year. GLIAC members also deserve heartfelt thanks. Our chancellor/presidents, athletic administrators, athletic trainers, coaches and student-athletes all navigated a year with no playbook on how to make it through a pandemic. Everyone persevered and made it possible for the GLIAC to have an exceptional year. I wish you all a restful and enjoyable summer, and I look forward to GLIAC action resuming in the fall.
