Lucas Raley was the first Division-II position player selected in the 2016 MLB draft, taken by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the seventh round. 

Raley capped off an incredible career at Lake Erie with All-American honors for the 2016 season.  On the year, he batted .424 with an on-base percentage of .528 and a slugging percentage of .747. In 158 at-bats, Raley had 67 hits including 11 doubles, two triples and 12 homeruns.  He scored 54 times and drove in 39 runs.  Raley stole 12 bases and earned 28 walks.  He had 25 multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI games. The junior had a season-high six RBI against David and Elkins College. Raley had a fielding percentage of .983 with 11 assists.

For the 2016 season Raley earned a Third-Team All-American selection from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings, First-Team ABCA/Rawlings and D2CCA All-Midwest selections and an All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) First-Team selection.

In addition to his excellence on the field, Raley earned GLIAC All-Academic Excellence honors, majoring in education.
