Thursday's event will be held in conjuction with the women's and men's basketball games against Michigan Tech University.  T-shirts will be for sale throughout the contest and donations will be accepted as well.  Saturday's event will be held along with the teams' contests with Northern Michigan University.  The Athletics Department will be honoring breast cancer survivors at halftime of the men's game.  Each survivor and a guest will receive free admission to the games, a commemorative t-shirt, survivor gift basket and admission to a special reception between games.

We are expecting over 50 survivors to attend this year's event!!

Last Year, SVSU hosted its second-annual Breast Cancer Survivor Recognition and Reception on February 14, 2009. 38 survivors' lives were celebrated, and these women were honored for their accomplishments at this event. SVSU Athletics raised $3,093 for the Covenant HealthCare Foundation Breast Health Center CARE Fund.

All proceeds from the contests will be donated to the Covenant HealthCare Foundation Breast Health Center CARE Fund.
