Findlay Remains At No. 1 In Latest NABC/Division II Coaches' Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - As the conference tournaments begin to kick into high gear and the leagues without tournaments wrap up their regular season schedules, the NCAA Division II ranks still has two undefeated teams in the first week of March and they hold the top two spots in the latest NABC/Division II Coaches Poll.

Findlay (27-0) and LIU-C.W. Post (24-0) retain the top two places in a poll where the top six teams remain the same from last week.  Findlay holds the No. 1 seed in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament this week, while C.W. Post is the top seed in the East Coast Conference but may have to beat tournament finals host Adelphi on its home court for the second time in a week to win that tournament and stay undefeated.

BYU-Hawaii (23-1), who owns Division II's third-longest active winning streak at 20 games, remains at No. 3, as does Southwest Baptist (24-3) at No. 4, Augusta State (23-4) in fifth and Gannon (24-3) at No. 6.

Claflin moved up to seventh due to losses by Central Oklahoma and Christian Brothers last week, while Central Missouri and Southwest Minnesota State moved into the top 10 in the eighth and ninth spots this week.  Central Oklahoma rounds out the top 10.

Metropolitan State comes in at No. 11, followed by Christian Brothers, Southern Indiana, Benedict and Northern Kentucky.  The 16th-ranked team this week is Alderson-Broaddus, then South Carolina Aiken, Bellarmine, Bentley and Florida Southern complete the top 20 teams in the poll.

The final five in the poll are Kutztown, West Virginia State - a team making its poll debut this week - Armstrong Atlantic State, Georgia College & State and Winona State.

The NCAA will release the fields for the regional tournaments Sunday night.
