Lakers Shoot 292 on Final Day of Event

Houston, Tx. - Grand Valley State University's men's golf team finished its season with a 14th place finish in the NCAA National Championships. Josh Orler led the Lakers, shooting a 72 on the fourth day and finishing with a four-day total of 285, tying him for 18th place. GVSU finished the meet with a four-day total of 1156.

After Orler's 18th place finish came Matt Malloure, who shot a 73 on the final day to give him a total of 291. Malloure's 291 tied him with Tyler Hering, both finishing with a four-day total of 291 and in 52nd place. Josh Burt was the fourth Laker in the standings, finishing in a tie for 64th place with a total of 293. Mike Basinski tied for 77th place after shooting a 73 on the final day to give him a total of 296.
