BLAINE, Wash. - Wayne State University senior golfer Steve Cuzzort (Grosse Ile, Mich.) and Ferris State University senior Kelbi Lee (Billings, Mont.) were selected to the Division II PING All-America teams, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America following Friday's final round of the NCAA Championship.

Cuzzort earned First-Team honors after finishing in a tie for fifth place (71-70-74-77--292) at the D-II Championships, three strokes off the lead pace. He easily surpassed the performance of any past golfer in Wayne State history at the NCAA Championship in WSU's first trip to nationals as a team.

With a 32-round season average of 71.313, the GLIAC Championship and NCAA Super Regional medalist set a new school record, besting Ryan Johnson's 72.931 mark set in 2006-07.

Cuzzort finished eighth or better in 10 of 12 events this season and is the fourth golfer in WSU history to be named an All-American, joining Johnson (2006-07), Joe Juszczyk (2007-08), and current head coach Mike Horn (1985-86).

Lee was one of eight student-athletes chosen to the third team and among 46 individuals to either receive first, second, third or honorable mention recognition.

Lee led 24th-ranked Ferris State to a school-record tying eighth-place national finish at the 2009 NCAA-II Men's Golf Championships (May 19-22) in Blaine, Wash., with a first-place tying 289 four-round regulation stroke total. He went on to claim tourney medalist runner-up honors with a first playoff hole setback.

A 2009 All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Honorable Mention Team pick, Lee ranked third among the 2008-09 FSU stroke leaders with a career season-best 73.73 strokes per round (2,433 total strokes) in 33 rounds this season. He recorded six top-20 finishes, which included three top-five efforts. The FSU golfer paced the Bulldogs in three 2008-09 tournaments and turned in a 16th-place tying performance at the GLIAC Championships (Oct. 5-6) by firing a 221 three-round score.
