Ashland's Spannbauer named GLIAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Bay City, Mich. -- Ashland University Men's Soccer player Adam Spannbauer has been chosen as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week.  It was announced today by the league office. 

  

  GLIAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week:

  Adam Spannbauer - Ashland

  (Jr, Forward, Akron, Ohio / Firestone)

 

Spannbauer recorded a hat trick on Friday in a 4-3 win against Missouri S&T, scoring two goals in the first half and adding the third in the second half. He continued the success on Sunday with a goal in the 3rd minute of a 2-1 victory over Slippery Rock (Pa.) that proved to be the winning score. His four goals were on just seven shots, giving him a 57.1 shot percentage. Spannbauer led the Eagles to their first wins since the 2006 season.
