Ferris State Appears At No. 8 In The Latest NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll

Bay City, Mich. -- The Ferris State University softball team dropped one position to #8 in the latest NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll. The Bulldogs own a 21-3 record, and received 285 points to land in the eighth spot. Wayne State University (20-8) appears at No. 20 in this week's rankings. Saginaw Valley State University (24-6) is listed under the "Others Receiving Votes" category.

 

NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll #7 - April 8, 2009 

Alabama Huntsville (35-2) moves to the top of the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll this week, taking the top spot from No. 2 Angelo State (33-5). The Chargers received 12 of a possible first-place votes and check in atop the poll with 395 points, followed by the Rambelles with 387 points and four first-place votes. North Georgia and Southeastern Oklahoma hold in the third and forth spots, respectively, while Lock Haven moves up one notch to sit at No. 5. 

The NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll is voted on by 16 NCAA Division II head coaches, two representing each of the eight NCAA regions. Records shown are through games of April 5, 2009. First-place votes are in parentheses.
