Michigan Tech to Host NCAA Midwest Women's Basketball Regional

INDIANAPOLIS — Michigan Tech will host the 2010 NCAA Midwest Women’s Basketball Region it was announced tonight on NCAA.com. The Huskies are the top seed and will face eighth-seeded Northern Kentucky Friday (Mar. 12) at 6 p.m. in a quarterfinal game.

The other three quarterfinals for Friday are:
No. 3 Drury vs. No. 6 Southern Indiana, 12 p.m.
No. 2 Indianapolis vs. No. 7 Northern Michigan, 2:30 p.m.
No. 4 Wisconsin-Parkside vs. No. 5 Findlay, 8:30 p.m.

The semifinals are set for Saturday (Mar. 13). The Drury/Southern Indiana winner will face the Indianapolis/Northern Michigan winner at 5 p.m. The Michigan Tech/Northern Kentucky winner will take on the UW-Parkside/Findlay winner at 7:30 p.m.

The 2010 Midwest Regional Championship game will be played Monday (Mar. 15) at 7 p.m. All games will be played at Michigan Tech’s Student Development Complex Gymnasium.

General admission tickets for the NCAA Midwest Regional will go on sale tomorrow (Mar. 8) at noon at the SDC Ticket Office or by calling 906-487-2073. Current Michigan Tech season ticket holders will have until Thursday (Mar. 11) at 7 p.m. to purchase reserved tickets.
