Findlay's Raven Clay Claims Third in 100 Hurdles At Pan Am Games

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinada -
Sophomore Raven Clay of The University of Findlay women's track and field team finished third in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2009 Pan American Junior Track and Field Championships on July 31 in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Clay was the top performer for the United States in the event, blazing to a time of 13.44. Her performance also marked the first time an Oilers’ track and field athlete had placed in an international competition.

The Detroit, Michigan native placed behind Jamaica’s Shermaine Williams (13.22) and Rosemarie Carty (13.34) while ahead of Shericka Ward (13.64), a United States competitor.
