The Tiffin University volleyball team limped to a 12-15 overall record and a 6-12 GLIAC mark. The Dragons suffered numerous injuries last season, including two injuries on the Dragon front line.

Jillian Campbell was one of those injured, and she returns this year after competing in only 15 matches last season. In her time on the floor, she collected 80 kills and 53 total blocks. Olivia Cobb also returns for the Dragons this season. The junior outside hitter brings experience, athleticism, and a powerful right-hand that smashed 270 kills, that placed her 10th in the GLIAC. Sophomore Taylor Lattimore returns this season after leading the conference in digs with 670, and digs per set with 6.44. The Dragon youth movement continues as another strong returner, Kasey Adelsperger, is only a sophomore. Adelsperger pounded 66 kills and racked up 19 total blocks.

The Dragons have restocked the pantry for the 2015-16 season after graduating seven seniors. Hannah Curtis, a transfer from the State College of Florida, comes to Tiffin with experience at the collegiate level. Last year, Curtis notched 214 kills, 83 digs, and 24 total blocks. Amanda Curry is another dynamic outside hitter that dominated in her senior season at Westfall High School in Williamsport, Ohio. Curry played in 79 sets, and collected 368 kills, 92 total blocks, and 273 digs. Emily Weithman comes to the Dragons with impressive numbers as well, dishing out 662 assists, serving up 46 aces, and 41 digs. Olivia Davis, a 1st team All-MOAC selection, comes to Tiffin as a middle/right side hitter. All of these newcomers bring good stats, but they also bring a combined 69-28 overall record from a year ago.

When asked about her team, Head Coach Dana Cordova said, “ We will be a young team, and our success is dependent upon our returners. They need to set the tone and bring the intensity needed to be successful in a tough conference like the GLIAC.”
