Ferris State's Edwards Named D2CCA Super Region 3 Defensive Player of the Year; 11 Honored

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) landed eleven Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-Super Region 3 awards, including  Ferris State junior Defensive linemen Austin Edwards being named Defensive Players of the Year.

Edwards, the GLIAC Player of the Year and a Gene Upshaw Award Finalist, led the Bulldogs to their second straight undefeated regular season and a GLIAC Championship. Edwards was of the top defensive linemen in the country with eight sacks on the year to go with 13.5 tackles for loss. Edwards has been instrumental in leading Ferris State back to the NCAA Regional Finals.
