2022 GLIAC Football Media Day set for July 25

GLIAC – The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) will hold its annual Football Media Day on Monday, January 25 on the campus of Wayne State University in Detroit. The GLIAC will provide exclusive coverage of the event, which will include a reveal of the 2022 preseason coaches' poll and interviews with players and coaches.

Football analyst, writer and author Emory Hunt will host the 2022 GLIAC Football Media Day, which is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with opening comments from GLIAC Commissioner Kris Dunbar. The interview portion of the event will be streamed live on the GLIAC's YouTube Channel:

10:05 a.m.: Highlight video and 2022 GLIAC Football Preseason Coaches' Poll announced
10:15 a.m.: Davenport (Jaier Harden, Jalen Robinson, head coach Sparky McEwen)
10:25 a.m.: Ferris State (Adam Sieler, Cyntell Williams, assistant coach Brian Rock)
10:35 a.m.: Grand Valley State (Cade Peterson, Abe Swanson, head coach Matt Mitchell)
10:45 a.m.: Michigan Tech (Hayden Huttula, Braxton Blackwell, head coach Steve Olson)
10:55 a.m.: Northern Michigan (John McMullen, Deandre Caldwell, head coach Kyle Nystrom)

The day will conclude with the GLIAC coaches and players hosting a youth clinic and autograph session in conjunction with Camp Courageous, a local organization dedicated to the goal of encouraging the positive social development of urban children as one component of a broad, united effort working towards the rebirth of the city’s communities and the City of Detroit as a whole. Attendees will rotate to different skills stations and participate in a variety of drills.
