Three GLIAC teams earn bids to NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament

2024 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball Tournament Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS -- Three GLIAC teams -- Northern Michigan, Ferris State and Lake Superior State -- are among the field of 64 that will compete in the 2024 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship, the NCAA Division II Men’s Committee announced late on Sunday evening.

Hosted by No. 1 seed UIndy, all Midwest Region first round games will be played on Saturday, March 16 at the home of the Greyhounds, Nicoson Hall, in Indianapolis.

GLIAC regular season champion Northern Michigan (22-10) was awarded the Midwest Region's No. 4 seed and will face No. 5 Ferris State (25-7) at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs captured the GLIAC Tournament title on Sunday.

Lake Superior State (21-8) earned the No. 6 seed and will meet No. 3 Walsh (24-5) at 12 p.m. ET

The regional semifinals will take place on Sunday, March 17, with the championship game scheduled for Tuesday, March 19.

The eight regional champions will advance to the quarterfinals in conjunction with the 2024 NCAA Division II Men’s Elite Eight. The quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games will be conducted at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, March 26, 28 and 30.
