Malone Leads #GLIACmgolf Championship on Moving Day in Kentucky

GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The second round of the 2014 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference featured more difficult scoring conditions as GLIAC golfers were faced with a slightly dryer golf course with some wind at Cherry Blossom Golf Club on Saturday in Kentucky. After two days of competition, Malone leads the 15-team, 74-player field after a stellar second round of one-over par 289. The Pioneers were paced by Ryan Headley (-4) who is tied for the individual lead with four other players, while teammate Garrison Myles sits one shot back. 

Nick Paxos (Walsh), Tyler Smith (Ohio Dominican), Ryan Headley (Malone), and Crawford McKinlay are all tied for the lead with a 4-under 140 total thru 36 holes.

Day Two Notes:

  • Tiffin was the only team to shoot under par on Saturday | Currently 2nd and 3 shots behind Malone
  • 13 individuals completed their first round under par, including 23 of par or better
