Ferris State Hosts, GVSU Earns 2016 NCAA D2 Men's Tennis Tournament Regional Bid

NCAA -- The 2016 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Tournament field has been announced and two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) programs have qualified for the Midwest Regionals.

Ferris State will host one of the regional events in Big Rapids as the No. 2 seed behind top-seeded Indianapolis. The Bulldogs won both the GLIAC regular season and tournament titles, compiling a 21-4 record on the year. FSU will battle Lewis in the first round, the seventh-seeded team in the region.

The Grand Valley State Lakers have also earned a tournament bid and will travel up to Ferris State for a matchup with No. 6-seeded Missouri-St. Louis.
