BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its eighth GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards of the 2017 season. This week McKendree senior midfielder Tori Lelo earned GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week award, while Indianapolis freshman defender Riley McClure gained GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week acolades.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Tori Lelo, McKendree
In a hard fought win against Indianapolis, Lelo contributed in critical moments, scoring four goals, as well as helping gain control with six draw controls. Lelo also added one caused turnover and one ground ball.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Riley McClure, Indianapolis
In a tight loss to McKendree, Riley McClure was a standout in the Greyhounds' defensive end. McClure came away with three caused turnovers, three draw controls, while adding two ground balls.
