GVSU's White garners men's golf weekly accolades

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its Men's Golf Player of the Week award for spring events through March 27, 2019. Grand Valley State's Mitchell White earned this week's honors.

MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Mitchell White - Grand Valley State

Senior Mitchell White (Muskegon, Mich.) shot a 5-under 69-70—139 to edge Trevecca Nazarene's Blain Turner by one stroke and win the 22-team Findlay Spring Invitational held Monday and Tuesday at University Club of Kentucky in Lexington. White eagled the par 5 13th hole during the first round and was a combined 6-under on the front nine during the tournament. The Lakers also finished one stroke ahead of Trevecca Nazarene to take the team title.
