Ferris State's Weller is named men's golf player of the week

GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its Men's Golf Player of the Week award for spring events through April 9, 2019. Ferris State's Jack Weller earned this week's honors.

MEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Jack Weller - Ferris State

Senior Jack Weller (Swartz Creek, Mich.) earned individual medalist honors with a 207 to lead the Ferris State men's golf team to its second tournament championship of the spring as the Bulldogs finished first at the University of Indianapolis Greyhound Invitational, which wrapped up with final round play on Tuesday at the Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind. Weller, who carded a 67-71-69--207, was five strokes ahead of the runner-up and senior teammate Seth Terpstra, who shot a 212.
